If you guessed Essex, you'd be wrong, as a new survey has found Preston, Lancashire comes top for short skirts.
Leg lovers take note, as women in Preston buy more miniskirts than anywhere else in the UK and the ones they buy have the skimpiest hemlines.
Sales figures from Asda showed 49% of all miniskirts were sold in Lancashire - eight times more than in London.
On average, Essex women wear their skirts 23 inches longer than the ladies of Lancashire.
Women in Essex were most likely to buy a maxi dress, with just 10% of then opting for a miniskirt.
Welsh women were the top buyers of one-shouldered dresses, while the little black dress was the choice of 51% of those in the North East of the country.
London ladies love pencil skirts, according to the data, while a fifth of wrap dress sales are to women living in Berkshire.
George at Asda spokeswoman Fiona Lambert said: "The mild winter has meant that shorter skirts and dresses are selling like hot cakes."
"But it's fascinating to see how different skirt styles sell across the UK."
